The Bermuda Event Planner's Guide to Fireworks & Special Effects
A practical reference for planners planning a moment their clients will never forget.
Why fireworks work
A fireworks finale transforms the emotional peak of an event into a shared, unforgettable moment — the kind guests photograph, share, and remember for years.
When to consider fireworks
Weddings, corporate galas, milestone celebrations, resort events, and destination gatherings where a single defined moment should become the highlight of the evening.
Venue considerations
Waterfront, beach, and open-air venues suit traditional fireworks; indoor or sensitive venues suit cold sparks and low-fog effects. Every venue has clearance, wind, and noise factors that shape what is possible.
Planning timeline
Enquire as early as possible — ideally 8–12 weeks out for designed displays. Last-minute requests can often be accommodated, but design freedom and permitting benefit from lead time.
What Swan needs from you
Date, venue, approximate guest count, desired performance time, indoor/outdoor, waterfront or not, and a sense of budget or the experience you envision.
Special effects options
Fireworks, cold sparks (indoor-safe), sparklers, CO₂ jets, low fog, confetti — each suited to different moments, venues, and photography goals.
Common questions
Weather contingencies, noise and venue rules, permits, insurance, setup and clearance, and how effects interact with photography and videography.
How planners work with Swan
Swan collaborates with planners and venues as a production partner — handling design, compliance, and safety so the planner can focus on the guest experience.
